Scouting report: Mount Pleasant, ranked 22nd overall in the state by Maxpreps.com and third in Division 3, has been far more dominant, outscoring foes 347-83 to North Branch’s 221-189 mark. The Oilers have also beaten three playoff teams and two others with winning records and finished 9-0 for the first time since 1992. Mount Pleasant is averaging 212 yards rushing per game and 6.1 yards per carry with 33 touchdowns on the ground. Jon McCann has 948 yards rushing, 8.5 yards per carry with 17 touchdowns. Alex Horton and Mark Lee have combined for 705 yards. McCann is also the top tackler with 95. Quarterback Josh Rathje has passed for 837 yards with 11 touchdowns and only one interception. He has completed 68% of his passes. Tyler Duke is averaging 37.4 yards per punt. Clayton McClintic has 69 tackles and 3.5 sacks and Cody Weisenberger 4 interceptions.The Oilers have picked off 10 passes. Scouting report: Genesee, ranked seventh in Division 7, is coming off a school-record 81-point performance against Baldwin and scored 369 points this season, the most in school history for a nine-game regular season. Brown City has also been potent with 341 points while giving up 105. The Wolves have surrendered 131 points and are 2-0 against playoff team while the Green Devils, back in the playoffs after 10 years, went 1-2. Brown City uses a well-rounded rushing attack led by Kevin Kalbfleisch, Cody Anderson and Cory Soucie. Genesee quarterback Garret Cook has passed for 1,412 yards with 24 touchdowns and has rushed for 835 with 13 scores. Tyler Peltonen has caught 35 passes for 492 yards and Carl Youry nine for 335 yards, a 37.2-yard average. Donovan Aleman has 24 catches for 300 yards. Caleb Quintanilla has 123 tackles and four sacks and Sean Kirley has 72 tackles. Youry also has five interceptions and Brice Blossom four sacks. The Wolves have 15 sacks and 12 interceptions.
