Friday Night Scores

A busy night with boy's games. First up, heard on Mix 92.1, Bay City All Saints defeated Vassar in GTC-West play 46-31. Jeremy Schiefer led the Vulcans with eight points and six rebounds. The loss drops Vassar to 5-5 overall and 1-4 in league play.

Cass City got a much needed win in GTC-West play by beating Bad Axe 66-45. Chris Summersett led the way for Cass City with 23 points. Austin Babich (18) and Chris Doerr (13) also contributed to the win. Cass City improves to 6-5 overall and 2-3 in league play.

Elkton-Pigeon-Bay Port beat Reese 65-57. Josh Pickell led the Rockets with 14 points, while Morgan Walter added 10. The loss drops Reese to 7-3 overall and 2-2 in GTC-West play.

Marlette beat Mayville 64-49. The Wildcats were led by Corey Travis's 10 points. The win improves Marlette's record to 2-8 overall and 1-1 in the GTC-East. Mayville drops to 1-9 overall and 1-4 in the East.

Millington improved their record to 3-8 with a 40-37 non-league victory over Ovid-Elsie. Tyler Reinert led the Cardinals with 21 points.

Caro lost to Chesaning by a score of 65-60. R.J. Fritz led the Tigers with 14 points, while Andrew LaPointe scored 12. The loss drops Caro's record to 6-6.

North Branch lost to Midland Bullock Creek 49-45. Justin Calvert scored 16 points for the Broncos. North Branch now stands with a 4-6 record.

Alma defeated Frankenmuth 52-46. Tyler Gray scored 20 points in the loss, while Luke Bade contributed 11. The loss drops the Eagles record to 4-6.

In girl's action, Dryden defeated Owendale-Gagetown 49-37. Amanda Faist and Samantha Radabaugh each scored 10 points for the Bulldogs. The loss drops Owendale-Gagetown to 1-10 overall and 1-10 in the NCTL-North.

Peck beat Akron-Fairgrove 46-28. In the loss, the Viking's Sarah Dryden scored a triple-double. Dryden had 10 points, 10 blocks, and 10 rebounds. Sarah Crane also scored 10 points in defeat. The loss drops Akron-Fairgrove to 0-12 overall and 0-11 in the NCTL-North.

Kinde-North Huron defeated Kingston 43-40. Whitney Fox led the Lady Cards with 13 points, while Emily Chambers scored 10 points. The loss drops Kingston to 7-6 overall and 7-5 in the NCTL-South.
