Frankenmuth 65 - Michigan Lutheran Seminary 60 OT - Frankenmuth had to go to overtime to earn their first victory of the season. Jake Nuechterlein led the Eagles with 15 points. Luke Shepherd scored 14 points. Kent Redford (Brad's younger brother) scored 14 points and had four steals, including a game-tying three-point basket to tie the game at the end of regulation. Spencer Bell scored 10 points and had six rebounds.

Caro 60 - Croswell-Lexington 55 - Caro was down by eight points after the first quarter, but went 12-16 from the charity stripe to take a one point half-time lead en route to head coach Eddie Crosby's first varsity victory. Pat Bishop led the Tigers with 16 points, while Jared Vincent scored 14 points. Caleb Sundblad had a double-double with 10 points and 11 rebounds.

Vassar 44 - Marlette 25 - Senior Troy Hecht had a double-double with 10 points and 10 rebounds in the season opening victory for the Vulcans.

Bad Axe 44 - Mayville 25 - William Henderson scored 11 points for the Wildcats in their loss.

Sandusky 53 - Cass City 41 - Justin Ketterer scored 12 points in the Red Hawks loss.

Arenac-Eastern 65 - Akron-Fairgrove 36 - Josh Repkie led the Vikings with 12 points.

Marine City Cardinal Mooney 78 - Kingston 45 - Garrison Glowniak led the Cardinals with 14 points.

Owendale-Gagetown 55 - SASA 47 - Ryan Francis led the Bulldogs in their opening win with 16 points. Eric Montreuill and Hunter Champagne each contributed 11 points.

North Branch 58 - Imlay City 46 -
North Branch used a 15-3 second quarter to coast to victory. Chris White scored 16 points, including three three-point baskets. Kyle Cline also added 16 points in the victory.

Croswell-Lexington 47 - Caro 30 - Vanessa Taylor led the Tigers with 17 points.

Owendale-Gagetown 47 - SASA 29 - Christy Schmidt led the Lady Bulldogs with 12 points.
