Essexville-Garber 58 - North Branch 45 - The Lady Broncos lose their second straight game in as many nights. Morgan Vauter led North Branch with 14, while Kelsey Roloson added 12 points.
Vassar 54 - Cass City 37 - Vassar remained the hottest team in the county with their win on Thursday night. The Vulcans have now won seven straight games and 10 out of 11. Kayla Verbeek led Vassar with 14 points. Hilary MacKay scored 12 points, as Jessica Ostrander added 11. Vassar improves to 15-3 overall and 8-2 in the GTC-West, as they prepare for their showdown with first place Elkton-Pigeon-Bay Port on February 23. Cass City was led by McKensie Parrish's 12 points. The Lady Red Hawks drop to 3-15 and 3-7.
Reese 61 - USA 46 - Reese remained in second place in the GTC-West (1/2 game behind Laker High) with a win over USA. Jillian Gerow led Reese with 19 points and seven rebounds. Amber Gotham added eight points and 10 assists, while Jade Ackerman scored 12 points. The Lady Rockets will face Laker High next in the last game of the regular season for both teams. Reese is now 15-2 and 8-1. Miranda Fuerst led the Lady Patriots with 15 points, while Brittany Gruehn scored 12. The loss drops USA to 5-13 and 3-8.
Mayville 59 - Deckerville 51 - Mayville defeated Deckerville for the second time this year as they improve to 8-10 overall and 4-6 in the GTC-East. Amy Elenbaum scored a team-high 17 points and also added seven steals. Tessa Buhl added 16 points and eight rebounds, while Chelsea Roehl had a double-double with 15 points and 13 rebounds.
CPS 42 - Kingston 40 OT - The Lady Cards dropped their third straight game after winning the previous five. Kingston is now 12-7 overall and 11-6 in the NCTL-South.
Harbor Beach 39 - Marlette 38 - Marlette dropped their second straight game to fall to 9-9 overall and 4-6 in the GTC-East.
North Huron 59 - Akron-Fairgrove 39 - The Lady Vikings dropped their third straight game to fall to 7-11 overall and 7-10 in the NCTL-North. Sarah Crane scored 15 points, grabbed nine rebounds, and swiped three steals to lead Akron-Fairgrove.
The #1 team in the state in Class C - Sandusky falls tonight to Brown City 41-31. Both teams are now 10-1 in the GTC-East.
