Deckerville 45, Kingston 23

KINGSTON - Deckerville led 21-14 at the half, but Kingston brought the game within three points early in the third on a pair of three's from Emily Chambers.
It was then that the Cardinals fallout came, and it started with guard Megan James going down with an ankle injury, minutes into the third quarter.
Deckerville then went on a 10-0 run to close out the period, giving them a 33-20 lead heading into the final stanza.
"They could of easily ran the other way when things got tough, but they did not do that. We have been talking lately about when adversity hits, you have to fight," Kingston head coach Dave Lester said. "I am so proud of them for staying tough. They have gone through a lot of things that I don't think any team should have to go through, but they did, and they will be better for it."
